Typical Project:
All projects start with a consultation either in my studio or at the clients home/premises.
At this meeting I am usually given a 'brief'. Sometimes it is very detailed, other times I am given a free hand to design the complete scheme without any input from the client.
I try to encourage my clients to work out a budget which best suits themselves. This enables me to source and design the scheme within the amount allocated.
After the initial consultation I then begin to create my design. This process involves pulling together various samples from my studio, ranging from flooring, wallpaper, fabrics, paint etc. These, in turn, are presented to the client at the 2nd meeting. All measurements are then taken and the wheels are set in motion to begin processing the order. The majority of orders take between 3-4 weeks to manufacture. If there is a lot of upholstery involved, then it may take a little longer.
On the day allocated for fitting I attend along with the fitter just to ensure everything meets with the clients satisfaction.
During the lead-in time I arrange to have all the necessary tradesmen on site. This enables us to complete the project on the day of fitting. At this point lamps, cushions, mirrors, accessories etc are all put in place.
It is then time for the client to express their seal of approval.
Another project completed - on to the next one!!
