Bedroom Refurbishment Project

These particular clients didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money on their bedroom but wanted to bring their decor up to date. 

The existing pine furniture was in very good condition but didn’t lend itself to a modern design scheme so I took the furniture to my workshop and sprayed it in a neutral pebble colour. Automatically the appearance changed for the better.

I chose fabrics in chartreuse and taupe colourways to keep the room bright as the house faces north and has a small dormer window. I chose a wallcovering with a soft lustre appearance which helped reflect the natural light. The clients had their bed for a number of years so I ordered a firm, plush mattress which is one of the most important elements of a bedroom refurbishment.

Finally I added wall lights which are operated remotely, a plush cut pile carpet and a small sofa.

All in all the room is now bright, modern and comfortable.
