New Kitchen

This new kitchen is part of a complete property refurbishment.

The clients have lived in their 4 bed, 3 reception room property for 20 years. The property is well maintained but has become tired, dated and uninspiring.

During my first consultation I was given a free hand to come up with a design scheme which encompasses quality, comfortability and class.

This isn’t always easy to achieve as luxurious design schemes sometimes lose practicality. The clients didn’t want their newly designed home to feel like a show house where they felt they couldn’t relax and enjoy their home.

Kitchen Planning and Design

I began by designing the kitchen. The existing kitchen was pine with a tiled floor so therefore it was important to create a design which was completely different, both in terms of appearance and use.

Shaker Style Kitchen Cabinets in Blue Wood Grain

I chose a blue wood grain door in a ‘shaker style’. The wood grain has a beautifully textured finish and is much more luxurious than a flat blue painted finish.

High Spec Appliances

I chose appliances with a high spec and appearance and made sure to include an integrated coffee machine for one particular member of the family.

Induction Hob

I opted for a 900 mm wide induction hob and integrated extractor fan. I also included a tap which provides instant boiling or cold water.

A solid surface worktop added the final touch of luxury.

Herringbone Flooring

I decided to continue the engineered wooden herringbone flooring into the kitchen and as you can see from the images the flooring compliments the kitchen cabinets perfectly.

Blinds and Artwork

Fabric was selected from my extensive fabric collection to manufacture roman blinds for all three windows.

I selected a piece of artwork and chose accessories to add the finishing touches to the kitchen.
