Hall, Stairs & Landing

The existing staircase was manufactured from pine, as were all the internal doors, architraves and skirting. The wooden flooring was oak.

I gave the clients a choice to either paint the staircase, handrails and spindles or replace everything in its entirety. Thankfully they opted for the latter.

The first impression one gets when entering any property is what they see from the front door. The hall and landing has a knock on effect to every other room as continuity in terms of skirting, architraves and flooring achieves the perfect flow throughout the property.

DOORS

I was keen not to install standard wooden or painted white doors. I chose black doors with a satin finish which complemented the design scheme throughout the property.

WALL PANELLING

Wall panelling to the hall, staircase and landing was installed and painted white. The addition of the panelling adds detail to the staircase and walls and also helps protect the wall covering in busy areas of the property.

WALL COVERING

I chose a patterned wallpaper with a floral design which sat beautifully with the panelling and furniture.

LIGHTING

I chose gold ceiling lights and a bespoke ceiling pendant to complete the scheme. The gold accents added more detail to the already luxurious hall and landing.
